Glenn Swan brings his sound designer's aesthetic to the Skulpture EP, constructing an exploded view of atmospheric and modular electronics with equipment old & new. 'Horsp v7' unfolds uneasily towards a central, driving rhythm and evaporates into a sea of unconventional static, while 'Klautmod 334' is open-heart surgery on primitive modular synths, percussion and atonal bells. The final piece, 'ionic moat', is a shifting, deep ambient cycle to wrap the listener in stillness.
