Based on the manga by Jiro Tokimatsu, 'Smoke Demon Ryūji' is the story of a young boy who, through protective sorcery, survives the total devastation of his village, set ablaze by a land-hungry warlord.
After years of surviving alone and cursed with an ash-grey complexion, young Ryū is found and - by complete coincidence - adopted by the very same warlord. Neither of them recognize each other's true identity and a strong bond is formed between the two.
Time passes, discoveries are made and Ryū is forced to choose between revenge for the family he's long forgotten, or sacrificing the 20-year bond with a man he thought he knew.

時松次郎による漫画を原作とした「煙鬼龍二」は、土地を渇望する将軍によって焼き払われた村の完全な荒廃から、保護魔術によって生き残る少年の物語です。
灰灰色の顔色に呪われながら孤独に何年も生き延びた後、若いリュウが発見され、まったくの偶然に、まさに同じ将軍の養子となる。二人ともお互いの正体を認識しておらず、二人の間には強い絆が形成されています。
時が経ち、さまざまな発見があり、リュウは長い間忘れていた家族への復讐か、知り合いだと思っていた男との20年の絆を犠牲にするかの選択を迫られる。
